Golden Banana Nut Loaf

3 C. Shifted Flour ****************************** 2 Eggs
3 1/2 tsp Baking Soda **************************** 1 C. Mashed Bananas
1 tsp Salt ********************************** 3/4 C. Milk
2 tblsp Shortening ***************************** 1 tblsp Flour
1 C. Sugar ********************************* 3/4 C. Chopped Nuts



Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Cream
together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add
eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Combine
walnuts and 1 tblsp of Flour; stir into batter. Pour into
greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 ovan for 1 hour
or until bread tests as done. Cool in pan on rack 10
minutes. Remove from pan; cool on rack. Makes 1 loaf.


Hot tips:

1. Double ingrediants for two loafs
2. You can mix everything together in any order and it will turn out just fine. Belive me I’ve done it before, but just leave the nuts to last.
3. if you don’t have any nuts then don’t worry about it, I’ve never put any in my bread and its excellent.
